Chino Valley Fire District offers public education and safety awareness
to all citizens living within the fire district.
CPR
& First AidCPR & First Aid classes are offered by certified instructors.
In the CPR class you will be instructed on the Heimlich Manuever as well as Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.
Upon successful completion of the class you will receive a CPR certification card.
The First Aid class covers basic first aid stabilization until an ambulance arrives and the recognition of life
threatening injuries or illnesses.

Fire
Safety
CVFD offers education through characterization programs that incorporate
the art of Clowning. The focus of the
program is to teach life and fire safety to children in Kindergarten through
5th grade. Topics covered include fire
and life safety, STOP DROP & ROLL, how to dial 911, crawl low in smoke,
bike helmet safety, car seat safety,
cool a burn, and always be calm in an emergency.
Classroom presentations are available
for schools in the Chino Valley area covering the above topics. Also available
are presentations on E.D.I.T.H. (Exit Drills In The Home) and smoke detectors.
We teach students that fire fighters

Junior
Fire Setter ProgramChino Valley Fire District's Junior Fire Setter Program is designed to educate children from ages 6 to 18 years about
the dangers of playing with fire. Personal injury to the fire setter as well as others along with the possibility of extensive
property damage are things that a youngster will learn about in a 2 part class. In the first class, the child as well as the
parent or guardian are interviewed and fire safety is discussed. The child is sent home with homework and is required to
bring it with them when they return to the second session.
