| The apparatus bay of this station was built in 1982 on land purchased from the Arizona State Land Department. In 1987 the 1600 square foot residential facility was added to the structure. In 1990, the second addition was added to the structure, housing the administrative offices and classrooms. | |||||||||||||

In September of 1963 this station was built along Highway 89 on a donated half acre parcel. This was the first structure built for official use by the CVFD. The first method of getting an alarm out to the volunteers was an informant would call in to one of the firefighter's wives and she would call three or four other wives and then they in turn would call several other firefighters. Later they had a siren, which alerted the firefighters, and then the telephone system gave the address. This station has been remodeled and reopened in September of 2004 as a full time manned station again. |
